Dolphin Safari

The Maldives is ranked among the top five sites for spotting whales and dolphins; the location is gaining popularity because it allows visitors the opportunity to spot Dolphins and whales in a tropical climate as opposed to the arctic climate. The most common type of dolphin seen at the safari is a spinner dolphin; there are approximately 20 species of dolphins that could also be spotted in the Maldives, moreover whales and manta rays could also be spotted provided that the timing is right.

The dolphin safari is a great activity for vacationing families and animal lovers. Most sighting of the dolphins takes place during the months of February to May, however all year around visitors would obtain the opportunity to spot these cetaceans.

Access: By speed boat or Dhoni ride from Chaaya Lagoon Hakuraa Huraa.
