The Maldives Island located on the equator, provides all year round summer. The islands go through two distinctive monsoons. From the month of May to November the wet south-western monsoon and during December to March the dry northeast monsoon takes place.

During the dry monsoon season the islands are drowned with the bright sun light with occasional light rainfall, therefore December to April is considered to be the peak season. May to November is considered to be the off-peak season as the rainfall becomes stronger and storms occur, however the islands remain warm.

The average temperatures of the islands vary between 23°C to 30°C. Diving in the Maldives is available all year round; March to November is perfect for surfing despite the wet monsoon. The Maldives islands remain warm and sunny with occasional showers during the south-western monsoon.
